How does crafting and customization work?
Crafting and customization in Warped Universe are built around a clear progression loop driven by gameplay.
During missions, players collect Residuum from defeating Void enemies. At the end of each mission, that Residuum can be spent to earn Artifractal Cores for new equipment, Sparks for upgrades, and Nexite for enhancements.
Artifractal Cores are used to generate weapons, armor, and ship components with randomized attributes and rarities. Once gear is created, Sparks allow players to upgrade and customize it by improving specific stats like damage, defense, accuracy, or utility.
Upgrades are managed through the Potential system, which limits how many Sparks can be applied to a single item. This ensures meaningful choices and balanced progression, while still giving players deep control over how their builds evolve.
ECHOs are customized separately through loadouts and abilities, allowing players to adapt their powers and tactics to different mission types and environments.
Together, these systems let players craft unique builds, experiment with strategies, and continuously refine their equipment as the Warped Universe grows and changes.
