Monthly Development Update May 2025

5 Jun 20255 min read

We covered all fronts this month at Warped Games, from game development and backend engineering to marketing and Web3 integration. A major highlight was our marketing collaboration with Beamable, which went incredibly well. Not only did it give a huge boost to our social channels, but more importantly, it significantly increased our wishlist numbers.

Wishlists are tough. We’ve spent the last six months steadily building and refining our Steam page, consistently posting updates and sharing new content. Getting people to the page is one challenge, convincing them to click that Wishlist button is another entirely. But this month, that effort paid off. The Beamable campaign helped kick off a surge in visibility, and now we’re seeing organic growth across the board. People are discovering Warped Universe through related titles and features on Steam. That’s hugely rewarding, and we’ll keep building on this momentum.

The ships in Warped Universe were also vastly improved this month. Previously, Void ships were simple replicas of the player’s ships. That changed this month, our artists and designers pushed hard to deliver a new lineup of Void vessels that better reflect their warped origins in the game’s lore. The result is a more menacing and story-aligned foe. Meanwhile, customization options for player ships have expanded significantly, with new cosmetic parts and materials giving players even more ways to stand out in the universe.

On the backend, we’ve been hard at work connecting the wires. Our daily work with Beamable went beyond marketing. Web3 systems and itemization pipelines are now stitched together and functioning. We also began building out the $WARPED token migration tools, contracts, and dApp front-end. We’ll have more to share on that soon.

That’s it for this month’s progress of Warped Universe. We’ll continue refining and building, whether it’s better missions, better systems, or better reasons to click that Wishlist button.

Thanks for following along. As always, join us on Discord, follow us on socials, and keep an eye on Steam for the next wave of updates.
